We are looking for a dependable Hood Cleaning Supervisor for the Des Moines area. In this role, you oversee multiple crews that clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems overnight, managing job schedules, quality, and safety across job sites.
Prior hood cleaning or related trade experience is preferred — HVAC, mechanical, electrical, or general maintenance background is a strong plus. Paid on-the-job training is provided on our specific cleaning process, safety standards, and reporting systems.
Like the crews you oversee, you will be on your feet through the night, climbing ladders, working above cooking equipment, and moving between job sites until early morning. Expect to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to step in on cleaning tasks directly when a crew needs an extra hand.

- Drive between job sites throughout the shift to check in on crews and resolve issues.
- Restock company vehicles with chemicals, equipment, and supplies before each shift.
- Review job checklists and before/after photos submitted by each crew.
- Communicate with restaurant managers about scheduling, access issues, and completed work.
- Step in to clean hoods, fans, ducts, and filters directly when a crew is short-handed.
- Track crew hours and job completion times and report them to the office each morning.
- Enforce safety procedures for chemical handling, ladder use, and confined or rooftop spaces.
- Flag equipment or vehicle maintenance needs to the office promptly.
- Handle on-site issues, such as customer concerns or safety problems, and escalate when needed.
