We are looking for a dependable, certified teacher for a part-time English and Math position at an after-school enrichment center in Clive, Iowa. You will teach students from Pre-K through 8th grade in small groups, usually five students per teacher. This is a direct-hire position with the center.
Classroom teaching or tutoring experience is expected, and K–8 experience is preferred. You need to be comfortable teaching both English and Math. State teaching certification is preferred.
The schedule is fixed: Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30 to 7:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, about 9 hours a week. All classes are in person. The center provides the curriculum, so you do not plan lessons from scratch.

Responsibilities
- Teach weekly in-person classes to small groups of students, typically five students per teacher.
- Teach English and Math concepts following the center's curriculum and guidelines.
- Lead both English and Math classes for students from Pre-K through 8th grade.
- Track each student's progress from week to week.
- Give feedback to the center director and to parents as needed.
- Keep a positive, respectful and encouraging learning environment.
- Maintain accurate student records.
- Start and end classes according to the program schedule.
- Communicate regularly with staff and management about student needs and classroom updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Mathematics or a related field.
- Teaching certification. State certification is preferred.
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience. K–8 experience is preferred.
- Able to teach both English and Math clearly and confidently.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Available Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.
