Repair Manager

West Des Moines, IA Full-Time Manufacturing

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Repair Manager to oversee and complete a variety of residential exterior repairs, including roofing, siding, carpentry, and general exterior maintenance. This role requires someone who can accurately assess repair needs, perform high-quality workmanship, and identify additional issues while providing practical, cost-effective solutions.Compensation: $55,000–$65,000, depending on experience.

Inspection & Roofing

Conduct thorough inspections of residential exteriors and roofing systems to identify repair needs.Repair or replace damaged roofing materials, including shingles, flashing, vents, ridge caps, and roof decking.Diagnose and repair roof leaks while ensuring proper waterproofing.

Siding, Carpentry & Exteriors

Repair or replace damaged siding, trim, fascia, and soffits.Repair exterior doors, windows, and weather stripping as needed.Repair or replace damaged decking, railings, steps, and porch components.Patch and repair wood rot or other structural damage.Repair or replace gutters and downspouts to ensure proper drainage.Caulk, seal, and weatherproof exterior surfaces.Prepare repaired areas for painting or staining when applicable.

Jobsite & Communication

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Communicate repair findings and recommendations effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in residential exterior home repairs and roofing.
  • Strong knowledge of roofing systems, siding, carpentry, gutters, flashing, waterproofing, and general construction practices.
  • Ability to diagnose repair issues and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair projects.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and access confined or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
