Position Summary
We are seeking a Weekend/Nights Parts Processor to process materials by accurately measuring, cutting, and preparing parts according to production specifications and technical drawings. The shop is located about 5 minutes from Southridge Mall in Des Moines.
Work 36 hours and get paid for 40 — 6pm to 6am, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Processing
- Operate production equipment and material processing tools safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Ensure products meet quality and production standards.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow established safety policies and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area.
Teamwork
- Work effectively with team members to meet production goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of measurements, angles, and material layouts.
- Experience operating common fabrication or material processing equipment.
- Knowledge of various material types preferred.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, mechanical, or technical fields preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and climb ladders in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, 6:00pm–6:00am.
- 36 hours worked, paid for 40.
